For those interested in performing the Sunnah I’tikaf this year, please register here and view the details on the form : https://forms.gle/SGRqVu9UQoemUrrE9

What is I’tikaf and why is it done?

I’tikaf involves secluding oneself in the masjid during the last 10 days and nights of Ramadan, as was the annual practice of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and his Companions (May Allah be pleased with them). During this time, attendees devote themselves to worship and learning, seeking forgiveness for past shortcomings and searching for Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power), which is a night of worship more valuable than a thousand months.

The I’tikaf begins on the 21st night of Ramadan and continues until the end of Ramadan. The Prophetic Sunnah is to remain in the masjid during the entire 10-day period, secluding oneself from the outside world.

Starting at Isha Salah on Saturday, March 30th

πŸ•Œ Isha & Taraweeh Salah : 8:50 PM

⛺️ Nafl I’tikaf : Immediately after Taraweeh: For those who are unable to do the Sunnah I’tikaf for the entirety of the last 10 Nights, but would like to instead engage in one night’s I’tikaf, the Masjid will be open from after Taraweeh till Fajr for you.
Open only for brothers 18 & above. Own bedding required. Masjid doors will lock 30 minutes after Taraweeh for the safety of those in I’tikaf.

πŸŒ™ Qiyam: 3:00 AM – 3:45 AM : 4 Rak’ah Tahajjud in congregation, followed by witr.
Open for brothers & sisters of all ages. Masjid doors will open 2:30 AM for entry.

🍳 Suhoor: After Qiyam : Complementary freshly cooked suhoor served for everyone.

πŸŒ… Fajr Salah : 5:40 AM

One of our largest gatherings of the year, the last possible night for Laylatul Qadr, and the night we complete the recitation of the Qur’an in Taraweeh, followed by Du’a. You don’t want to miss out!

Join us as we complete the recitation of the Qur’an in Taraweeh, followed by du’a, on Sunday, April 7th!

Please pay your Zakat al-Fitr ($8 per person in your household) as soon as possible. This is a right of those that are less fortunate, so they can enjoy their Eid as well.

Eid al-Fitr Salah will take place on Tuesday, April 9th or Wednesday, April 10th, depending on moonsighting results, as per IFGSTL’s moonsighting policy. Our website and social media pages will publish the exact date by the end of day on Monday, April 8th, accordingly.

Remaining details TBA.
